Chase Manthos-Gornick is an Automation and Controls Engineer based out of H2E’s Liberty Lake office, who has been gaining experience with our Automation Team for nearly two years! Originally from Hayden, Idaho, Chase earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at the University of Idaho. With previous experience in the Cement Processing Industry, he has quickly established himself as an emerging mainstay in H2E’s Automation, Controls, and Commissioning projects.
Chase has been interested in digital infrastructure since high school where he developed a passion for website software and design. After attending classes on PLC and Ladder Logic in college, his path toward controls integration was set. Now three years into his career Chase has become fluent in ACESYS/ESC programming, Ignition HMI software and FactoryTalk Optix. “I learned a lot of the basics and standard infrastructure through PLC programming and HMI Design, it has been an interesting way to learn the processes of each industry that we support.” This knowledge, along with the advantage of being at the vanguard of H2E’s latest Quality System standards have helped Chase to conquer the early learning curve of Electrical Engineering.
Having supported Clients in multiple industries by commissioning on-site, Chase has gained a broader perspective on the work, “I really enjoy being on-site, seeing the full process of what we have developed first-hand really deepens our understanding of the engineering behind it, and the feeling of doing a start-up is very rewarding.” When Chase is not on Client sites or in the office, he enjoys camping, fishing, and playing pool with friends around North Idaho!
