Energy Vault, in coordination with Pacific Gas and Electric, implemented a Microgrid for the city of Calistoga, California with a Green Hydrogen Fuel Cell Array and B-VAULT DC Battery Energy Storage to provide 293MWh system to provide 48 hours of continuous energy with a peak output of 8.5 MW during regional Public Safety Power Shutoff events. H2E designed the Hydrogen Delivery System (H2DS) Control System and integrated the H2DS with six Hydrogen Fuel Cells and other plant subsystems. The Calistoga Resiliency Center’s grand opening was August 1, 2025 and H2E’s Project Manager Neil Heckerman, P.E. attended the event in Calistoga.
