Dennis Bacon, Senior Automation and Controls Engineer in our Liberty Lake, Washington office, came to H2E from Montana State University. Dennis knew from a young age that he wanted to be an Engineer because he enjoyed math and science. The major he chose in college was Computer Engineering where he learned programming and discovered that the curriculum also had a strong emphasis on Electrical Engineering. For his senior project Dennis designed and built a Frequency Synthesizer which was then used in the school’s Research and Development department. Reflecting on his career as an Engineer, one of the biggest surprises to him is how important writing is in the profession.
Now, with over 20 years of experience, Dennis has found job satisfaction in helping people solve problems. He says, “Developing relationships with clients and helping them solve automation problems is what I do”. Dennis also enjoys the variety of work that he has been exposed to in his career. From commissioning designs at hydro-electrical plants, to working with manufacturing processes, no two days are the same.
We’re grateful to have Dennis on the team!
